China's Pendulum Swings

Per my previous post on the banning of sex-selection in Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, it appears that, yes, it was after all part of an emerging pattern:

China is to outlaw the selective abortion of female fetuses to correct an imbalance in the ratio of boys to girls that has grown since the one-child policy was introduced more than 20 years ago.
Students of ecology will recognize the inevitabilities.
