Mandela's Son Dies Of AIDS

There can be no worse fate for a parent than to outlive a child:

Former South African president Nelson Mandela has revealed that his eldest son has died of Aids.

Makgatho Mandela, 54, had been critically ill for several weeks after being admitted to a Johannesburg hospital late last year.

I think a lot of the AIDS stats from Africa are dubious, wherein other illnesses get restated as AIDS in order to pump up the fiscal donations. But I don't think so in this case. May he rest in peace.
