Compared to the Middle Ages we’re in a reverse situation and it’s now up to the secular and liberal Europeans to help pull Islam out of the dark ages, encouraging enlightened Muslims to lead the way.
Personally, I think Islam shifted into reverse when Aharism replaced Mutazilism: no small deal.
